The Rider-Waite Tarot was illustrated by Pamela Colman Smith, who was known by her synonym " Pixie " and was a member of the " Golden Dawn ".
This tarot was first published in 1910.
Waite achieved a very great notoriety after he co-authored this card set. With his work " Pictorial Key to the Tarot " he created the manual associated with the set.
The Rider-Waite Tarot was the first tarot in which all 78 cards are fully illustrated.
