After emigrating for the first time in the 1980s, I had the wonderful opportunity to study medicinal plants and the influence of precious and semi-precious stones on the body in Florida, California, Hawaii and also on Gran Canaria. Hawaii and Gran Canaria made the deepest impression on me and I am still convinced that it was because they are volcanic islands. Life on these islands is, in a word, fantastic ;-)
The volcanic rock zeolite has been making headlines for a few years now. Not so surprising when you consider that porous chalk made from volcanic ash has been used for centuries by North American natives as an internal and external cleansing aid. According to them, the paste they produce acts like a sponge and absorbs "toxic waste" that has accumulated in the digestive tract.
On March 28, 2012, the renowned Swiss daily newspaper "Neue Zürcher Zeitung" published an extremely interesting article on "Boiling Stones" in the Science section, which begins as follows:
"Zeolites are true jack-of-all-trades: they are found in washing powder, dry solvents, and in Fukushima they were even dumped in bags in the sea after the reactor accident to remove radioactive elements from the water." This statement makes us sit up and take notice, because what the "NZZ" has published is directly linked to the research of molecular biologist and director of the "Institute for Molecular Medicine", Prof. Dr. Krešimir Pavelić from the University of Zagreb. Professor Pavelić is also head of the National Cancer Research Program of the Republic of Croatia. His research interests include molecular medicine, in particular hereditary cancers.
Zeolite is a natural mineral of volcanic origin and belongs to the group of silicates. It has a crystalline structure in which cavities, channels and shafts are formed.
Liquids and substances can collect and be retained in these "large" spaces and chambers, as is known from sponges, which can also retain liquids and particles in their cavities.
By pulverizing the zeolite mineral, it becomes cell-available, which means that it is able to "pass through" the stomach and intestinal walls of the human body.
The aforementioned "healing earth" of the North American Indians "engulfs" toxins in the intestinal tract, while crushed zeolite seems to be a quantum leap in medicine ... because, according to many experts, zeolite is able to bind toxins to itself, store them in the aforementioned "cavities" of its crystal structure and remove them from the body by natural excretion (urine, stool, sweat).
